Dentists

Bert Hay BMSc BDS MFDS RCS Ed 

GDC No. 79654

With 13 years of clinical experience and a driven desire for self-improvement, Bert brings a wealth of dental expertise to Inspire. Bert won the prestigious title of  “Dentist of the Year” at the the Scottish Dental Awards 2014. He has undertaken considerable additional training to enable him to keep a step ahead of the competition in offering high quality dental care.  His interests include complex restorative, surgical and cosmetic dentistry. From 2006-2013, Bert was a trainer to young dentists in their first years after graduation and served on the Highland Area Dental Committee in 2008-2009. Bert was invited to join the Board of Directors of Highland Dental Plan in 2013. He serves as editor of the HDP newsletter and sits on their Peer review and Group Purchasing committees. Out-with dentistry, Bert enjoys cycling, drawing and walking his boxer dogs.

Eilidh Morgan BMSc. BDS MJDF (RCS Eng)

Eilidh joined the Inspire team as a partner in the practice in February 2016. She has been qualified for 10 years and has worked in Inverness and Edinburgh developing her skills and completing a breadth of additional training in cosmetic, restorative dentistry and implant dentistry. She also has a keen interest in facial rejuvenation treatments. Eilidh was appointed to the Highland Dental Plan board of directors in 2014 and undertakes roles on several sub-committees. Although originally from Edinburgh, Eilidh has her roots in the Highlands and has settled in the North. Out-with dentistry she enjoys cycling, hill walking and going to see live music.

We pride ourselves in our customer service and are very lucky to have a great team behind us at Inspire Dental. Our Management team of Kerry and Louise and dental nurse Louise, will be at hand to assist you and make your visit to Inspire as pleasant and comfortable an experience as possible.

Kerry

Kerry Alexander PRACTICE MANAGER

GDC No. 174397

Kerry orchestrates the running of the practice. She’s had 8 years experience working in dentistry locally and played a central role in helping to create Inspire Dental. As well as being responsible for the continual development and evolution of our service, Kerry’s in depth knowledge will find solutions to even the most complicated problems you might have. Her reassuring and friendly personality backs up her inherent ability to provide a listening ear. As well as being an experienced dental nurse, Kerry has undertaken further clinical training in implant nursing and impression taking. When she gets time off, Kerry enjoys her dogs and dining out.

Louise Taylor  PATIENT CARE MANAGER

Louise has worked in the frontline of dental services for the past 10 years – 8 as a qualified nurse. Much of this time was spent helping and advising newly qualified dentists. She brings a vast array of nursing and administrative talent to Inspire Dental. Louise is a devoted mother to her young family and enjoys maintaining a busy social life.

Gemma

Gemma MacLennan DENTAL THERAPIST

Since graduating from the University of Highlands and Islands in 2011 and followed by a year in Southampton, Gemma has worked in a dental practice in Thurso and more recently in Aberdeen. Having just recently joined the team, Gemma adds an extra dimension to the practice. She is especially skilled in treating children due to her friendly and reassuring approach. At Inspire, Gemma offers a wide range of treatments which include: Fillings, scale and polishes, x-rays, and tooth whitening.

And on Childrens teeth: Extractions, pulp therapy, fissure sealants, stainless steel crowns, fluoride application.
In her spare time, Gemma enjoys supporting Ross County, keeping fit, travelling, enjoying the outdoors and playing the bagpipes

Kelly Patience DENTAL THERAPIST

Kelly qualified as a dental therapist in 2013 and joined us at Inspire in 2017. As well as some part hours in Kingussie, she currently works in Aberdeen and Inverness at practices which specialise in periodontology, restorative dentistry and have a special interest in implant dentistry. Kelly is able to provide hygienist services as well as treat children and carry out small restorative treatments. She is a welcome addition to the practice.

Away from dentistry in her spare time, Kelly is a fitness fanatic and enjoys cooking and eating out.

Kirsty George DENTAL NURSE GDC No. 254247

Kirsty began her career in dental nursing as a decontamination nurse in 2009. With an unrivalled enthusiasm to become a dental nurse she began her nursing training in March 2013. She particularly enjoys the variety of new challenges every day brings and the social interaction that comes with it. Every day is greeted with a smile.  Kirsty is conscientious and hard working. Out of work she enjoys her three children, family life & various pets.

Louise Calder DENTAL NURSE GDC No. 204204

Louise has been the main dental nurse in Kingussie for 5 years and her experience in the surgery has proven invaluable. Being a local girl, she has great knowledge of the surrounding area and its people. As well as being a very efficient nurse, she goes out her way to ensure your time in the dental chair is as comfortable as it can be. In addition to assisting chair-side and implementing the highest standard of instrument decontamination, her role ensures your time in the surgery runs as smoothly as possible. In her spare time Louise enjoys knitting and getting out and about with her dogs.

Kym BeatonRECEPTIONIST

Kym began with Inspire in April 2014. Bringing with her a wealth of experience working with the public, her friendly approachable manner allowed her to fit straight in. As the welcoming face at Inspire’s desk, Kym helps put our patients at ease and takes the time to listen everyone’s needs. Kym loves to cook and socialise with friends and family. She looks forward to further developing her career in dentistry and plans to train in dental nursing.
